Carolyn R. Parkinson focuses her practice on family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, and judicial Guardian ad Litem appointments.
Carolyn received her Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating with honors in her Sociology program. She then earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
After earning her MSW, Carolyn worked as a psychotherapist in private practice, followed by employment as a school social worker for the Milwaukee Public Schools. While employed by MPS, Carolyn Coordinated the MPS Homeless Education Program, which earned national recognition as a Model Program by the National Center for Homeless Education.
Carolyn graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School. While in law school she was an Associate Editor on the Marquette Law Review, a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society, a Student Bar Association representative and was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honors Society. Carolyn also earned the Public Interest Law Student of the Year Award for her extracurricular pro bono work, serving children with special needs at Wisconsin FACETS, underprivileged and underserved individuals and children at Legal Aid Society and Legal Action of Wisconsin and for her contributions on the Milwaukee County Guardianship Task Force in creating a parent manual on the guardianship process for children aged 17 years 9 months.
