DAVID B. HALLING received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1962. He began his legal career with the law firm of deVries, Vlasak & Schallert, S.C., representing insurance company clients. In 1968, he became regional trial attorney for Allstate Insurance Company. In 1970, he co-founded the firm of Walther & Halling, the predecessor to Halling & Cayo, S.C.

David has handled cases in Federal trial and appellate courts across the country. His practice is concentrated in the areas of complex business litigation, legal malpractice, divorce and personal injury. He is co-author of two articles concerning structured settlements published in Wisconsin Lawyer, and is a recipient of the State Bar of Wisconsin 1986 Authoriship Award. He is a member of the Milwaukee Bar Association (officer and director, 1988-1994), the State Bar of Wisconsin and has the highest rating available for competence and reputation from the national Martindatle-Hubbell Legal Directory.
